The essentials about turning an existing printable model into a SKÅDIS-compatible object.

You can open 3MF or STL files and export the result as 3MF or STL. 3MF is the recommended default because it preserves millimetre units and useful metadata.
PegBloom is designed around the SKÅDIS slot pattern and hook fit. Printer and material tolerances vary, so make a small test print before producing a large or load-bearing part.
Mounting islands create a controlled spacer between the object and the hooks. PegBloom can require them when part of the model would otherwise touch the board before the hooks can engage.
Use a sufficiently large, nearly flat surface with a clear path behind every selected hook. Curved areas, narrow edges and geometry above a mounting island can make a position unavailable.
No. PegBloom opens, modifies and exports the geometry locally in your browser. The model geometry and filename are not sent to PegBloom.
